Kah gets the call up for the Jockey’s Trust T20

Superstar SA jockey Jamie Kah is set to swap her silks for some whites when she lines up in January’s Jockeys v Racing All Stars T20 Cricket Match in Melbourne.

Kah will be the first ever South Australian representative in the match when she lines up for the Jockeys team which will also include the Wizard from the West, Willie Pike and leading Queensland hoop Tegan Harrison.

It will be the seventh edition of the match which will be held on Monday the 21st of January 2019 at Williamstown Beach Stadium. The event is organised by the Victorian Jockeys Association and raises funds for the National Jockeys Trust which assists sick and injured jockeys and their families.

Last year’s match raised a whopping $114k and is the Trust’s biggest fundraising event of the year. The National Jockey’s Trust also run a number of Golf Days and Raceday events around Australia throughout the year.

Australia’s top jockeys and racing identities always support the day and last year’s teams included Group 1 winning jockeys Damien Oliver, Dwayne Dunn, Mark Zahra, and Brenton Avdulla while the All Stars side had ex-test player Bryce McGain, AFL champion Jimmy Bartel, trainer Archie Alexander and Racing.com’s Ben Asgari.

The family friendy day will have a sausage sizzle, kids activities, raffles, giveaways and plenty more, so if you find yourself across the border in January, make sure you pop along!
