An early look at Morphettville - November 30

James Jordan from Racing.com has provided us with an early look at racing at Morphettville tomorrow, Novemebr 30.

Race 2 No.6 - Quietly Discreet

I thought this filly had shown enough in her jumpout and trial to suggest she could make a winning debut. I was more confident that she was a good bet when Flinders River was still in the race because I didn't think that race was a great form reference. Stenmark comes out of the same race but gets the blinkers on so he could improve but would need to. The speed should be genuine with Strikes Again and Candy Dude both going forward and I think Quietly Discreet can have the last crack at them. Always harder to predict price movements in these early 2YO races but I think the $3 is value, as she is likely to start a few rolls shorter.

Race 6 No.4 - Exalted Trail

We've documented on the coverage that this horse seems to race very well on the seven-day back-up and that's the situation on Saturday. Last start over the 1000m he was run off his feet in a fast tempo but back to 1200m should suit him perfectly. If he can reproduce either of his past two Morphettville 1200-metre runs (both were seven days between runs), I think he'll take a power of beating. I've got Nasifa (currently $4.60) marked a lot longer than the market so happy to bet early on Exalted Trail and lock in the $6 each way. I see there's been good early money for the Will Clarken-trained Seababe $19 into $9.50, which is also worth noting.
