Media Release: Patrons continue to be welcomed back to SA’s race tracks

 Following on from last week’s announcement around spectator restrictions easing, Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA) is happy to announce the following updates for the racing week ahead:

Murray Bridge, Saturday, July 4:

The Murray Bridge Racing Club has advised that members and owners with horses engaged on the day will be given an early priority to book for this meeting. A limited amount of spectators are allowed on course at this track, and pre-bookings are essential. The club has dining packages available. To inquire and book phone (08) 8532 2310.

Port Augusta, Sunday, July 5:
The Port Augusta Racing Club advises that the City of Port Augusta Cup meeting will be welcoming patrons on course for this ticketed-only event. Further details contact the Secretary 0447 105 545. Tickets are available at Office National, 16 Young Street, Port Augusta.

Naracoorte, Wednesday, July 8:
Essential racing personnel only.

Gawler and Barossa, Saturday, July 11:
The Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club advises that they will be welcoming patrons on course. To secure your attendance, pre-purchase your ticket by contacting the Club on (08) 8522 1801.

Morphettville:
At this stage, Morphettville (South Australian Jockey Club) will be welcoming members and other patrons back on course from Saturday, August 1. Two limited-capacity private industry events will take place on July 18 and July 25. Any inquiries to be directed to (08) 8295 0111. With the easing of restrictions, these dates will be reviewed in the coming weeks.

SA Racing Clubs will be managing the return of patrons by operating under a Covid- Safe Plan to ensure appropriate social distancing and hygiene measures are maintained. Please note, patrons, members and owners will not be permitted into essential racing areas including the Mounting yard and horse stall area.
