Lincoln Moore's Murray Bridge preview

BEST BET: CASTLE OF KINGS (Race 2)

EACH-WAY: BARACONI (Race 4)

VALUE: STREET LIFE (Race 8)

RACE 1 - 11:26AM Graham Edwards Crash & Pratt Towing Handicap (2500 METRES)

CANFORD has found his groove over the staying trips, making it two wins from his past three when defeating Manzala last Saturday. The big track should suit. EXALTED BEAST should be nice and handy from a good gate and gets into this well with the claim. The quick back-up is normally a plus for Grant Young horses. UPSWING is heading down a jumping path but his Victorian form is OK and this looks a suitable race.

SELECTIONS: CANFORD, Exalted Beast, Upswing

RACE 2 - 12:01PM Irongate Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

CASTLE OF KINGS is a former Kiwi on debut for Will Clarken. He looked pretty smart winning a recent Murray Bridge jump-out with ease and the solid early market support suggests he’s going to take some beating. TURFITT is another who has been well found in the early betting on two handy efforts, the latest behind Divenire here back in February and he jumped out pretty well at Morphettville for his return. LIVIN’ LOOSE has trialled-up pretty well for the Michael Hickmott yard and wears blinkers for his debut. PERFECT ZED wears blinkers for the first time and has been placed in three of six. MONTIGN has trialled well for his debut. SWIFT TERCEL won a Balaklava trial and wears the blinkers. FREDDY THE EAGLE was a nice run from the back behind Parisienne Monde at Murray Bridge last time and wears blinkers, but draws the extreme outside gate.

SELECTIONS: CASTLE OF KINGS, Turfitt, Livin’ Loose

RACE 3 - 12:36PM Terminix Pest & Weed Control Handicap (1200 METRES)

Some real quality at the top of the weights here with OUTLAWS REVENGE and ECHOES IN ETERNITY. ECHOES IN ETERNITY beat OUTLAWS REVENGE home in the Redelva and she was a good winner at Morphettville beating Highly Discreet and Smokin’ Val prior. OUTLAWS REVENGE comes out of the Redelva and Tobin Bronze where he didn’t do a lot, but his previous form was very good for a race like this and he is unbeaten in two runs here. The early money is for STAR OF UMA, who was beaten first-up by Great Leveller, draws to be right on speed and is sure to take some catching. MCCAIN could be the value coming off a soft win back in class at Mildura and can measure-up here.

SELECTIONS: ECHOES IN ETERNITY, Outlaws Revenge, Star Of Uma

RACE 4 - 1:11PM Edinburgh Hotel Social Club Handicap (1200 METRES)

Open race and think BARACONI gets her chance. She has been knocking on the door and finished off well from a long way back behind Lady Dunmore recently. She’s been placed at two of four starts here and draws to get a nice run. KORUTO has won two of his past three and draws a good gate but is up in class. LADY BETHANY has a good record and was too good for Trip on the Parks track three starts back. She hasn’t raced since running fifth behind Trip there back in October. She’s a first-up winner and can give this a shake. TWO ODD SOX has been specked at big odds early and has been in the money at two of four starts here.

SELECTIONS: BARACONI, Koruto, Lady Bethany

RACE 5 - 1:51PM Elders Livestock & Wool Handicap (1200 METRES)

HE”S A BALTER was good in three runs before he was slow into stride and settled midfield last time behind Going Gaga but was plain late. He should have won here four starts back and must be respected. This does look easier. BULLET KID is flying and came off the speed to win smartly here last time out. LOPE DE WOLF defeated Midnight Storm three starts back and his past two have been good for a race like this. MAJESTIC MISSILE is fitter here and finished off well first behind Sitting Bull at Balaklava. ALL IN WAR has been runner-up at both starts here and has been threatening to win a similar race.

SELECTIONS: HE’S A BALTER, Bullet Kid, Lope De Wolf

RACE 6 - 2:31PM Mulch N More Handicap (1000 METRES)

Pretty keen to be with GREAT DIVINER, who was super when producing some very good sectionals to run down rivals on debut. He was spelled after being beaten 4.7 lengths behind Outlaws Revenge here, but has jumped out well for this and I think he has a future. HYPERSONIC has been specked in early betting and was a good Morphettville winner two starts back. He was also well in the market behind Brimarvi Vehero last time. WINNING WEATHER has talent and hasn’t raced since chasing home Second Slip here back in January. She’s jumped out well and looks a danger. HILLS jumped out pretty well recently. She is resuming and having just her second start for Will Clarken.

SELECTIONS: GREAT DIVINER, Hypersonic, Winning Weather

RACE 7 - 3:11PM Ridleys Plumbing And Earthmoving Handicap (1600 METRES)

NEODIUM has won his only start here and was solid behind Going Gaga last time at Morphettville. He’s drawn a touch awkwardly but looks right in this getting out to the mile. ALLACCIATO was good when winning his first two starts in Australia – here and at Balaklava – before a break. She draws a nice gate and must be given plenty of thought. CROWN HARMONIUM has been racing well and finished off strongly behind Going Gaga last time. She was placed behind Reynolds three starts back. CRYPTO CURRENCY comes off a good win here back in class beating Holy Sangria and can figure.

SELECTIONS: NEODIUM, Allacciato, Crown Harmonium

RACE 8 - 3:51PM Mckechnie Concreting Handicap (1200 METRES)

STREET LIFE is going super. His run behind Kemalpasa two back was very good and he followed that with a very good effort running third behind subsequent Goodwood winner Savatoxl last time. He draws a gate, has the claim for Jacob Opperman and looks well placed. TOFF LOVE caught the eye when making ground from a long way back behind Trygve last time and looks well suited here. EPIC GREY is a former Victorian first-up for Michael Hickmott and was a Moonee Valley winner over the 955m trip back in February. He wasn’t beaten far in the Wangoom last time out and looks over the odds here. DEBT COLLECTOR has finished off well at both runs back from a spell. He has a good record here on his deck and could be ready to fire. PELOTON was impressive in his first Australian campaign and hasn’t raced since beating Extreme Thrill on the Parks track in November. OCTANE is going poorly but his best would be winning this. Drawing out and the wide open spaces should suit. LEFT HAND MAN has run well his past couple and should get a good run just behind the speed. KABINI has a good fresh record.

SELECTIONS: STREET LIFE, Toff Love, Debt Collector

RACE 9 - 4:30PM Premi-Air Refrigeration And Air Conditioning Handicap (1400 METRES)

HIGHLY DISCREET gets her chance here. She’s been costly for punters but also hasn’t had a lot of luck. Her latest behind Cherry Tortoni was very good for a race like this. She should get a nice run in transit. ECHO BOOMER is flying and her effort behind Fabric in the Queen of the South was very good. She’s drawn a touch wide but can overcome that. SKILLED BUNCH maps well from barrier four and was strong late behind Going Gaga in a handy race last time out. TRADEWIND looked a horse with a future when winning the Stockade at Ballarat back in November. He was good behind Deep Dive two starts back before running last in the Tobin Bronze behind Beau Rossa. He gets out to the 1400m but does need to lift. LADY HIGHLY hasn’t raced for 10 months and has the benefit of two recent trials. ICECRUSHER has been freshened and can run a nice race down in the weights.

SELECTIONS: HIGHLY DISCREET, Echo Boomer, Skilled Bunch
