SMART ACE has had a few chances. She was runner-up at Oakbank three starts back and finished off strongly beaten 1.4 lengths behind Good Approach here last time when he found himself well back. He draws a sticky gate but deserves to break through. PERFECT VOYAGE was very good behind Artful Libby here last time and has trialled well in the lead-up. He looks the obvious danger despite the wide draw. ZARAFSHAN wasn’t far away behind Good Approach last time after leading and draws a good barrier. CASSANDRA ISABEL has been placed at three of six and resumes here on the back of a Morphettville trial win.

RACE 2 - 1:40PM Impact Signs Maiden Handicap (1350 METRES)
INOTELL got well back and made some ground on debut at Gawler before coming here and was heavily backed from $8.50 to run a $4 favourite when 3rd behind Zyclonic. The extra trip suits and is sure to fighting out the finish here. TIAMAT caught the eye two starts back at big odds before another good run when 2nd behind Zyclonic last time. The extra trip and nice barrier are positives. JUSTEDEE has had plenty of chances but was placed here two starts back and must be given some thought. OUR JOURNEYMAN comes out of the Zyclonic race and is another who draws well. ORDER IS RESTORED comes up short first-up off an OK trial and has had a few chances.

RACE 3 - 2:15PM Hygain - Feeding Champions Benchmark 68 Handicap (Heat 8 Happy Trails Series) (1350 METRES)
RAISE AN ARMY is three from three this track and trip and was too strong for Onward last time. He gets in OK at the weights has the good barrier and looks the clear top pick again. SIR JOHNSON was good late behind Spencer Gulf here last time and the stable is going well. ISA SECRET ran through the line OK behind Bryan’s Babe and has only missed a placed once here at Port Lincoln. PAULO PACE strips fitter here along with MIDNIGHT BRAWLER and they both draw well.

RACE 4 - 2:50PM Mitavite - Leaders in Equine Nutrition Benchmark 58 Handicap (1210 METRES)
Open race. CAPTAIN SOLO had strong market support when he came from a mile back to run 3rd here behind Artful Libby last time out. He draws out but is going to be in the finish again. SASSY MANEUVER was good winning three of her first four starts here last season. He’s trialled smartly for her return and looks a big danger here. SCARY GO ROUND has a good record here and ran well behind Free Wilma. L’IL PIPER has a handy record and has won two races, her local debut was OK. REGINA DEL DRAMMA can be an improver form a good gate. CELERITATE REGEM ran well at odds behind Spanish Heirloom last time, while stablemate COMPARDY trialled smartly but was plain first-up in SA.

RACE 5 - 3:25PM Magic 89.9 The Hit Music Station Benchmark 52 Handicap (1250 METRES)
MISS CATASTROPHI was heavily backed to win well here last time behind Mista Knowitall. She draws the inside gate and looks the one to beat again. AVORA SUN was good running 2nd behind Justica here last time first-up and has good second-up record. The Searle stablemates WINTER HARBOUR and BRUTAL POWER have OK credentials for a race like this. TAJAVEDO finished off strongly behind Spanish Heirloom last time but draws a wide gate. ARTFULABEERS draws a good barrier.

RACE 6 - 4:05PM McDonalds Port Lincoln Benchmark 54 Handicap (1350 METRES)
Tricky race here. ROAR was strong in the market but only fair behind Spencer Gulf last time out. His previous effort behind Raise An Army was good for a race like this and he draws the inside barrier. SPENCER GULF meets him three kilograms worse off at the weights here and draws the car park but must be respected. SCOUT’S HONOUR has been on the heels of the placegetters at his past two here, draws a good middle gate and gets some weight relief with the claim. LOFTY TYCOON has handy form for a race like this and was placed at Oakbank and Jamestown before battling away when right in the market last time.

RACE 7 - 4:40PM Port Lincoln Great Northern Super Crisp Benchmark 54 Handicap (1350 METRES)
SWING IT SISTER has been in the money at seven of 16 starts here and was very good first-up this campaign making good ground from a long way back behind Angel's Wish. She draws out but the extra trip suits and she should give this a shake. CRAZY CULPRIT should be on speed and thereabouts on a good effort here behind Spencer Gulf last time. NEAR MAGIC is back in trip but wasn’t far away when 4th behind Eurogem at Gawler in June. MISTA KNOWITALL was good behind Miss Catastrophi two runs back before another good run making ground behind Spencer Gulf last time. MISS ELEGANCE has won two of six here and was on speed behind Angel’s Wish last time. Must be given some thought here. RELAXED had solid form here earlier in the year and could be an improver.

RACE 8 - 5:15PM Lincoln Sand Supplies Benchmark 54 Handicap (1000 METRES)
MAJESTIC MISSILE is a former David Jolly galloper draws wide but looks the one to beat here. He was a Strathalbyn maiden winner last October, was placed behind Sitting Bull and then ran a good race behind He’s A Balter (who would be $1.10 here) at Murray Bridge in May. That’s a very good form line for this class of race. THE MASTER was good when 2nd behind Effortkat here last time when first-up from a long spell. He draws to be on speed and should take some catching again. VIRAGO MISS has been placed here and comes off a Roxby win in September and can run a forward race at odds. SYLVITE has been placed at two of three starts here and comes off a Balaklava trial and does have a very handy record.
