Hank chasing big win in Happy Trails Final

JORDAN Frew will chase the biggest win of his training career when Li’l Hank lines-up in Saturday’s $102,250 Happy Trails Series Final (1400m) at Morphettville.

Li’l Hank comes off an impressive last start win on his home track at Murray Bridge and his chances are enhanced by a good barrier in a race where a host of fancied runnershave drawn wide.

“He bounced back to his best the other day, I was confident going in, Ijust needed to see it on race day,’’ Frew said.

“There is no reason he can’t run like that again, but he’s not brilliant out, so barrier two might be the undoing of us.

“He might find himself buried back on the fence, but it also could work in our favour. If the race pans out right, he should be well suited,’’ he said.

The former talented jockey rode 271 wins during his riding career before retiring a winner in 2017 is steadily building his Murray Bridge stable.

“I’ve got some few nice unraced horses coming through which is important,’’ Frew said.“You need those type of horses while building and hopefully there is a couple of nice ones among them,’’ he said.
