STARTS NOW made good ground from long way back on debut when beaten 1.8 lengths behind The Last Dance at Murray Bridge on debut. He draws out and will be thereabouts here the jump from 1400m looks ideal. DETORON was runner-up at Murray Bridge behind Proven Correct two starts back and then led them up when beaten 7.4 lengths behind Wannaschmack. LITTLE CHICAGO was 2nd behind Amelia Valentina at Balaklava back in March and hasn’t been beaten a long way at his past couple. ICONIC JEWEL was runner-up behind Under The Cone at Strathalbyn three starts back and has trialled OK since.

FAIR LEGACY is a former Victorian first-up for Justin Pickering. He trialled at Murray Bridge before taken improvement and trialled better again when 2nd at Balaklava behind In That Mode at Balaklava. He led and was pressured before running 2nd at Mount Gambier on Wednesday. MORRIS MINOR has shown ability and was good first-up from a spell when beaten 3.6 lengths behind Pure Bliss at Oakbank before he was beaten 9.5 lengths behind Hot Off at Balaklava last time. He draws a nice gate and gets the blinkers on here. WE’VE GOTTA DEEL was $9 to $15 first-up for the Jaensch stable when 2nd behind Hey Mikki at Bordertown. He can give a race like this a shake form the inside gate. WORLD AFFAIRS was 3rd in the same race and shapes an improver. VALIEVA comes off a good return when beaten 4 lengths behind Trantoro here. SAINT MICHAEL was beaten 5.9 lengths behind Sixteen Reasons here back in July and has the two trials under his belt for his return, the latest running 2nd behind Schroder’s Mistake at Balaklava and the blinkers come off.

SIX STARS has been in the money at two of four starts the latest running 3rd at Morphettville behind Our Divinyl before running 4th behind Dodd at Gawler. He draws the inside and should take some beating. NICISH covered ground when 2.2 lengths 4th behind The Stalker on the Parks before following up with another solid run when 1.8 lengths 3rd behind Dodd here. She draws out but should run well. SHAMPAS was good on speed when 1.8 lengths 3rd behind Episodic at Oakbank before she was $6 into $4.80 when 4.1 lengths 6th behind Hey Mikki at Bordertown. TARA RANI was placed behind True Gem at Clare last time out but draws wide. DARK HELMET was $7 out to $10 at Clare on debut and was OK beaten 1.8 lengths behind True Gem. MINE ALL MINE has had the two trials ahead of his debut winning the latest at Oakbank back in January. He draws out.

RED SEQUOIA was OK beaten 4 lengths behind Chosen Miss at Balaklava last time. The blinkers go back on here and this is a very winnable race. ZOFFANY ROCKET turned his form around at odds to win at Strathalbyn two starts back before another good run when 2nd behind Sirmaze last time here. THINK TANK could improve here, he was placed at Murray Bridge three runs back but well beaten his past couple. BUGATTI GOLD was placed at Broken Hill in March and then ridden on speed when beaten 9.8 lengths in the Chosen Miss race last time at Balaklava. SWANKYTOFF draws a gate and could be an improver.

He draws out, gets the claim and should give this a shake. ESKY is a former Queenslander now with the Bain/Taylor stable. He has the two trials under his belt and has been placed first-up previously. ENCIPHERING was good running 3rd behind Under The Cone at Morphettville and then took on the older horses up in trip and was beaten 7.3 lengths behind Bond Street Beau. INAGURATE comes off a Bordertown maiden win when a $3.80 favourite and should run well from an inside draw. RUN AND TELL was good running 2nd behind Imposing Suspect here last time. WEEKEND WARRIOR won a maiden at Oakbank before running 2nd at Bordertown last time behind Peacemaker.

She draws out but should take some beating. FAVOURITE CHILD is first-up in SA for the Clarken/O’Shea stable and was 2nd at Geelong last time behind Etara, she won an Echuca maiden last September and looks well placed here. FOURTH POWER comes off consecutive Clare wins on speed, he gets some eight relief and should run well here. BASE OF FIRE was back to winning form beating BRAZANO who is more than capable. REDWINELOVER has been in the money at two of four starts here winning his latest leading throughout to beat Lady Houdini. FLYING ASSASSIN was a Port Lincoln winner as a $1.90 favourite last time.

DERBY DOWNS was a Balaklava winner in September beating Sentimental Flame and he has been gelded for his return. SPIRFIRE SUN was a winner at his only start here and must be respected fresh. MORTGAGE MAN was a winner here in November and worth some thought. LITTLE RICH BOY was placed in the Utah Joe race at Oakbank and has been in the money at five of his seven runs here.

FIELD THE MOMENT has been placed at three of her past five and has the blinkers off from a wide gate. IMPOSING SUSPECT resumed to beat Run And Tell here last time. He draws a good gate and must be respected. SAN LUCIDO draws a middle gate and is another who made ground behind Delightful Shecky on the Parks last time. RUBINI comes off as Parks win beating Into The Light, that’s good form for a race like this.
